To achieve the goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality in Shaanxi, the high energy consuming manufacturing industry (HMI), as an important contributor, is a key link and important channel for energy conservation. In this paper, the logarithmic mean Divisia index (LMDI) method is applied to determine the driving factors of carbon emissions from the aspects of economy, energy and society, and the contribution of these factors was analyzed. Meanwhile, the improved sparrow search algorithm is used to optimize Elman neural network (ENN) to construct a new hybrid prediction model. Finally, three different development scenarios are designed using scenario analysis method to explore the potential of HMI in Shaanxi Province to achieve carbon peak in the future. The results show that: (1) The biggest promoting factor is industrial structure, and the biggest inhibiting factor is energy intensity among the drivers of carbon emissions, which are analyzed effectively in HMI using the LMDI method. (2) Compared with other neural network models, the proposed hybrid prediction model has higher accuracy and better stability in predicting industrial carbon emissions, it is more suitable for simulating the carbon peaking process of HMI. (3) Only in the coordinated development scenario, the HMI in Shaanxi is likely to achieve the carbon peak in 2030, and the carbon emission curve of the other two scenarios has not reached the peak. Then, according to the results of scenario analysis, specific and evaluable suggestions on carbon emission reduction for HMI in Shaanxi are put forward, such as optimizing energy and industrial structure and making full use of innovative resources of Shaanxi characteristic units

Directivity effect of unloading bedding coal induced fracture evolution and its application

In the coal mining process, the gas contained in the coalbed is one source of the most serious accident hazards. Stress releasing from the coal deposit is the main controlling factor that leads to such accidents. Based on the bedding of coal samples, the gas permeability well describes the evolution of fracture, so the paper carries out research on the permeability properties of coal under different unloading directions. The research obtains that when the stress unloading direction is perpendicular to bedding, more penetrating fractures and bedding fractures occur, and the permeability significantly increases. Although the axial stress reduced, the confining pressure makes the permeability of the bedding plane fracture exist under constant. The permeability obtained when the unloading direction was perpendicular to the bedding is 52 times larger than that when it is parallel to the bedding. The results show that the efficiency of gas drainage is impacted by the relative direction of gas drainage drilling in relation to the bedding orientations. The maximum amount of gas extraction when drilling is perpendicular to the bedding is 1.3 times than that when drilling is oblique to the bedding, and 1.75 times than that when drilling is parallel to the bedding. The Research on Tetrahedral Mesh Optimization Algorithm of the Double Channel Pump

The quality of mesh generation is very important for the computational simulation of the double channel pump. According to the special characteristics of the double channel pump, there exist a great amount of poor-quality elements, most of which are so called Sliver elements, generated by the tetrahedral mesh generation algorithms of Advancing Front Technique (AFT) and Delaunay Triangulation. By studying the type, distribution and reason of the badly shaped elements, a method to eliminate these Sliver elements was proposed. Then this method was combined with advanced optimization-based smoothing, Laplacian smoothing and swapping optimization to optimize the tetrahedral mesh. The computer language C++ is applied to develop the algorithms. Computational experiments of a double channel pump shown that the worst elements can be removed and the whole quality can be improved noticeably. After comparing the result of numerical simulation with that of the experiment, it is believed that the tetrahedral mesh optimization algorithm can satisfy the computational simulation of the double channel pump

Private Sector Industrialization in China: Evidence from Wenzhou

The purpose of this study to help shed light on the entrepreneurship, entrepreneurs and enterprise growth in Wenzhou. The study is done by relying on a probabilistic firm survey that we carried out in Wenzhou in early 2006 for three industries: shoes, eyeglasses and general equipment. Not a field-based formal survey, but also informal questions which helps us to enrich the story. The survey was focused on getting detailed firm histories to learn about how the firms started and grew. The study was done by focusing on the origins of the firms, including prior firms that may have been antecedents. Information was collected on whom the founders were, how many, their relationships with each other, and their background in terms of experience and other human capital. Detailed information was collected on how they financed their start, and how they financed their expansion. Detailed information on the sources of technology into the firms, particularly whether it was Chinese or imported and whether the firms were getting technical instructions from foreign firms they may have been exporting to. Detailed information on markets, especially how markets and how export markets were found. Information was also collected about explicit assistance that came from governments, local and/or central. Workers at each firm: managers, skilled workers such as designers, and production workers were interviewed.industrialization, workers, technology, firms, local resources, pro-capitalist, infrastructure, industrialization, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurs, growth, Wenzhou, china, firm survey, survey, china,
